Hey people i was invited to take photographs of telenor head quarter located in Islamabad f7 markaz. It is interesting building and lovely place to work ! seems like i will be applying for the job there after MBA ! I enjoyed taking architectural photos inside and outside of building for one of my client. It was Sunday so there was no traffic inside office.

Canon 100mm 2.8 USM Macro

Well today after long wait i got it. Ordered from Adorama.com total cost to me was 57,000 Pakistani Rupees or 712$ it is a cheap lens but due to non availability at dreaded Pakistan's official Canon dealer MBM i had to order from USA and all such imports are subject to import duty and taxes .

Intitial expression about lens is good i love sharpness of this lens. I hope focus speed was little fast but it is not too slow either. If you are L edict you will notice difference in operations of the lens they are not bad but L is tooo goood.

Last week beautiful flower exhibition was held in Islamabad. Displayed some great variety of flowers and arrangements. Such flower exhibitions are held regularly in Islamabad since ages i can remember going there with my dad years ago. Best flower arrangement bags a prize !

Child Labor

Child labor is swear issue in Pakistan in every corner big or small city you will find kids of very young age working in workshops etc. I saw this kid with dirty cloths standing in front of a shop it was evident from his cloths that he works at some car workshop.

Pakistan Changing ?

Surprised to sale an image to Government Organization ! It is huge sign of change, mostly government and private organization usually don't bother about purchasing images rather they prefer violating copyrights ruthlessly. I hope they will keep fashion of purchasing images alive so people like me can do better and better job ;-) . Ofcourse this happened because of so many things i have learned in MBA course ! they work magic !!!

Human Rights ?

I was returning from my university in early 2007 and saw a small crowd guarded by police. It seemed like a protest what a unique protest it was far more quiet then ordinary political party protest with no shattered windows or broken street lights, bunch of kids holding charts and old women of young and old age looking so hopeless, they seemed to look like ordinary Pakistani women who were confused to face the media(cameras) they hardly know what to say and how to deliver the message.

These folks were protesting against kidnapping of their loved ones by government agencies ruled by Musharraf the dictator who destroyed democratic system of Pakistan. Since 2005 there is no clue of kidnapped people there is no trial in a court they have just disappeared, no one knows where they are dead or alive. Read about them at Wikipedia

I am not political, i don't support killing of innocent people regardless of color cast or creed. I hope those people were arrested rather kidnapped if they were guilty. Some people were kidnapped for personal differences such as property. I wonder when People of Pakistan will be more powerful then their corrupt leaders. I still wonder if USA's best friend has done anything good for his country men. Where are the human rights now ? i still wonder when people and countries who chant about human rights will stop abusing them

Global Entrepreneurship Week at MAJU Islamabad

Got chance to attend seminar on entrepreneurship at MAJU in association with "global entrepreneurship week" celebration. Listening from CEOs of leading companies of Pakistan Micronet and Scrybe was an excellent experience.

And my class mate was wearing attractive shirt what an entrepreneurial Idea !

I was in Rawalpindi busy shooting streets and old architecture. Had to return home after hearing about horrible explosion in Marriott Hotel Islamabad.  People were stick to television screens in Rawalpindi for updates on bomb blast.

My New Baby 17-40 F4 L

Finally after 2 months canon Pakistan has delivered me 17-40 f4 L lens. It is wide lens on full frame bodies and standard range on crop bodies. In Pakistan it goes for around 53,000 Rs after dollar hike !. Filter and hood is in its way to me. Photography has become very expensive passion ! but craze never ends it is like having a beer.

It is exceptional in all ways. Built like a tank, smooth operations, quiet focusing, accurate and fast focus.

Image quality is Amazing sharp contrasty .

Pakistan independence the kids show

Singing and painting competetion was held at open air theater at Islamabad organized by Payaam foundation. It is a formed by youngster volunteers and work for spreading peace and happiness through its varity of work like free medical camps etc. Anyone can become a volunteer call +92-51-2539179 for donations etc.

It was charm to witness such activity in the city. With so many children with smiles on their faces. Best part was inclusion of orphans and special children who also took part in the competitions equally.
